Bradley J. Woodworth
Portland Nuptial Agreement Attorney
Bradley J. Woodworth is the founder and senior attorney at Bradley J. Woodworth & Associates, PC, which he created in 2001 upon his disassociation the previous firm he co-founded, Cobb, Woodworth & Holloway, LLP.
Brad has practiced law in Oregon since 1985 and is also licensed to practice law in Washington State and federal courts. Mr. Woodworth's legal experiences include stints as clerks to state court trial judges, a litigation associate at a medium-sized construction law firm, solo practice and as a partner or shareholder in boutique law firms.
Born and raised in Ohio, Brad received his bachelors degree from Oberlin College in 1973, and subsequently completed course work for the MSW degree at Portland State University's Graduate School of Social Work. Brad relocated to Oregon in 1975 and spent his first 10 years here with various social service agencies, including Outside In, founding the first program for Portland's gay street youth; the Men's Resource Center; and psychiatric social work at the Inpatient Mental Health Unit at St. Vincent Hospital & Medical Center in Portland.
Brad received his Juris Doctor degree in 1985 from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, having clerked for both law firms and judges during his legal training.
Brad's background in the social work and mental health field gives him a unique advantage in family law cases in both helping his clients deal with the often emotional aspects of divorce and custody issues, and in understanding and working around the resistance often encountered from the other side. His training is particularly useful in disputed custody cases where professional evaluations are required to assist the court in determining the "best interest" of the children.
Brad is a skilled and experienced advocate and litigator, but also assists clients in reaching mediated resolutions of their cases where possible, and in handling uncontested divorces where the party's are in substantial agreement on the issues.
Bradley J. Woodworth & Associates is a firm highly committed to assisting you in obtaining the best overall result in the inevitably life changing process of divorce, and we invite you to contact us or a consultation and evaluation of your particular case.
Brad is currently admitted to practice before the Oregon Supreme Court and all trial courts in the State of Oregon; to practice before the Washington Supreme Court and all trial courts of that state; is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of Oregon and the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington; and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
